The Lockyer Catchment Centre

The Lockyer catchment centre was established in 1995 and has become home of the LCA and Landcare groups in the Lockyer Catchment.

The centre supports the individuals, groups and organisations involved in land, water, wildlife and vegetation management in the Lockyer. The principles and practices of Landcare and Integrated Catchment Management are employed in the delivery of this support.

The Centre database for the quarterly landcare newsletter is over 850 individuals, families, government officers and businesses both in the Lockyer and beyond.

The centre is supported by the Department of Natural Resources and Mines and the Commonwealth Government's Natural Heritage Trust. It works closely with Gatton, Laidley, Esk and Cambooya Shire Councils and is financially supported by Gatton and Laidley.
